Sandbach make the short trip to Moss Farm on Saturday, to play nearest neighbours Northwich, for what is always a hard-fought game, for the local bragging rights. Sandbach come off the back of a difficult win at home to Douglas and will be looking at converting more of their opportunities they created last week and cutting out the odd error that caught them out defensively in the game.
It is probably a good time to play Northwich, who have again looked to bolster their local talent with a healthy handful of Southern Hemisphere recruits and understandably this formula may take a while to gel, before fully functioning at its best. Sandbach’s approach is clearly somewhat different, relying heavily on graduates from their Mini Junior Academy, so when young players graduate into the senior section, they are often already used to the style and patterns of play.
Every club is different reflecting their own particular circumstances, but what can be assured is a tough game, with no quarter given and whoever comes out victorious, it will be hard earned.
