Sunday saw our first outing in the knockout U12's Cheshire cup with a Preliminary Round game away to Anselmians. Both aour A and B teams made the journey to the wirral with the cup game due to start at 11am and the B team playing a friendly straight after at 11:40am. The day started well with only two of the usual suspects running well and a good warm up session was provided by Stu and Tim. First new fixture of the day was a ref's briefing which the lads had not experienced before.

The game duly kicked off on time and Although Anselmians were competitive and had some good moments of play the game was ultimately a one sided affair. With Sandbach scoring 5 tries in the first half and 4 more in the second whilst keeping a clean sheet.

The B team game kicked off late at 12 with a couple of Sandbach Players pulling on Saints shirts to help out Anselmians. Thanks again boys.
The Team again played well and whilst not quite as comprehensive as the A team game we still scored 6 tries with the Saints scoring 2 in return showing off the strength in depth we have at Sandbach.

A great morning of rugby from the team. Next up a couple of friendly fixtures followed by the first round proper
