Sandbach U14 vs. Caldy U14

Braving the winter wind coming off the Irish Sea, this Sunday saw a slightly depleted U14 squad travel to take on Caldy.

With Caldy fielding almost two full teams, every Sandbach player had the opportunity for some extended game time – and mercifully any injuries were minor.

The first game was a even contest with victory only being secured in the final minutes of the second half.

The second game saw an almost complete change in the Caldy line up – with limited changes to the Sandbach players. Fatigue began to play a part, exacerbated by the freezing conditions, resulting in Caldy dominating the play – although the few Sandbach chances that did arise were fully capitalised upon.

All in all, a great morning’s rugby despite the bracing conditions!
