Sandbach travel to Coventry to play Broadstreet on Saturday, on the back of holding on for a narrow win last weekend. Another close game is expected at the Ivor Preece Field, with Street lying just one place below Sandbach in the league, after a mixed start. Sandbach will be hoping that they can get a few more off the treatment table this weekend, as they know when at full strength, they are capable of beating any side in the league on their day.
Street traditionally are slow starters and are known for a high churn of players each season, making it always tricky for them at the start of each campaign when new players take a while to settle in. This seems to be the case once again, so playing them in December is not ideally the best time in this regard. Sandbach know they certainly have some quality players, as they include one of their own in Joe Jackson, who having finished University now works as a teacher in the area. It will be good to catch up, but there will be no friendly exchange no doubt until after the game as both sides will look to push their way higher up the league. As you might expect at this time of the year the weather is not predicted to be great this weekend, with light rain forecast but at least it will not be as cold as last Saturday.
