Sandbach travel to promotion favourites Newport on Saturday, for what no doubt will be a tricky game for them. The postponement of last weeks fixture certainly has not helped their cause, with Dudley Kingswinford suffering an outbreak of Covid in their camp, meaning the Bach will not have played a game for four weeks, due to this and the festive break. Sandbach always like a challenge though and traditionally games between the two teams are normally hard fought and close, but it has been a while since the Bach have come away from North Shropshire with the spoils.
Sandbach were on a decent winning run before the break, so should go into the game with a degree of confidence, but with the home team having lost just twice all season, they know they will need to bring their A game, to get a result. Newport lie second in the table but on the same points as leaders Bridgnorth, but with two games in hand. With Newport being only 50 minutes away, the Bach will be hoping for a decent following of away fans. So, fingers crossed that the boys in green and red will give them plenty to cheer come Saturday.
