Sandbach welcome Nuneaton to Bradwall Road, looking to get some of the frustration out of their system, following the narrow late defeat last week against promotion favourites Newport. Certainly, their defence will need to be at a similar level to last weekend’s, against what is always a big physical outfit. Similarly, they will be looking to convert more of their opportunities that they are creating, which also contributed to them just missing out.
Despite their lowly position Nuneaton are a decent side, with a number of experienced operatives at this level and appear to have been disrupted with Covid cancellations, meaning most of their games have been played away from home, which is traditionally a stronghold for them. They did win last weekend, so will travel with a degree of confidence and as the Dudley Kingswinford result proved last Saturday, there are quality sides in the lower sections of the league, capable of upsetting the form chart big style, if you are not careful. Sandbach won the corresponding fixture 14 v 30 in early October, in difficult conditions at a rain sodden Liberty Way Stadium but will be hoping that the recent dry crisp conditions continue to the weekend. So, fingers crossed for our second double of the season.
