Sandbach welcome high-flying Sheffield on Saturday to Bradwall Road, looking to put the frustration of last week’s trip to Scunthorpe behind them. It certainly will be difficult, with the visitors being promotion favourites, as they lie second in the league, with five games to go. Sandbach are further hampered with picking up an additional four injuries in the game last week and with a couple of other players also unavailable with family and work commitments, it is certainly testing the squad.
Sheffield have one of the biggest packs in the league and the best defensive record, so Sandbach will need to be right on top of their game to get a result. But with a big crowd expected as a number of past players are back for the afternoon, there will be plenty of support, and as they have shown on many occasions, they can beat anyone in the league on their day.
Fingers crossed it’s their day again Saturday.
