Following a disappointing result at Burton last weekend, Sandbach will be looking to return to winning ways on Saturday, when Doncaster Phoenix visit Bradwall Road. The Yorkshire side are very much aligned to the Championship outfit Doncaster Knights, with several of their future players being developed by them and as a result they have a reputation for fast and open rugby. They have always been a bit of a bogey side for Sandbach, who accordingly may need to slightly adjust their own game and play a little bit tighter than they normally do. The South Yorkshire outfit did the double over the Bach last season and the home team will need to guard against quick penalties and counterattacks, which has been very much a feature of Phoenix’s previous performances. Sandbach again are not quite at full strength, as suspensions and injuries are still not giving the coaching team, a full complement to pick from. However, as they showed in phases even in the defeat last weekend, whoever is on the park, when they put it together, they can certainly trouble any side in the league.
