Sandbach travel to Peel Croft on Saturday, on the back of an encouraging start to the league season, with two wins from the first two games. However, nobody is getting carried away, as analysis of both games has shown there are still plenty of areas to work on, with the need to be more clinical, when opportunities arise, clearly evident. Wins on the road are never easy and Burton after a surprise loss to newcomers Paviors in the opening game, stormed back with an impressive 17 v 31 win away to Peterborough Lions last weekend. Much was expected of the Crofters this campaign, having recruited strongly again in the close season, with the eye-catching addition of Argentine International Marcelo Bosch, who only a few months ago was playing for the European and Premiership Champions Saracens. So, it will be interesting to see what kind of outfit takes to the field on Saturday.
Sandbach though will as ever be relying by and large on its home-grown talent and with several players missing due to suspension, injury and availability, the depth of the squad is already being tested. The weather is set fine once more, so an entertaining game is anticipated, as Sandbach look to make it three in a row.
