Following the frustration of the late defeat in the Cheshire Cup tie last Saturday against Macclesfield, Sandbach will be looking to make amends, as they now find themselves in the Quarter Final of the Cheshire Vase against Northwich. Having lost to them last season in the semi-final of the same competition, Sandbach will be looking for revenge and will be keen to ensure there is no complacency, which could have been levelled at them in the last game between the two. Given it is again a local derby, no doubt another competitive encounter will be in store and Sandbach will be wary as the last match proved, Northwich are a capable and competitive outfit, with several individuals who can influence the game. Sandbach will also be looking for a better defensive performance and to be a little more clinical in attack than last weekend and hope they pick up no further injuries, as they build up to the league season that starts next week. Plenty of competition for places though, as emphasised in the strong performance by the Saxons last weekend and hopefully that should be enough to bring a bit of joy to the Bradwall Road home support.
