Will Cargill, regular 1st Team fly-half at Sandbach for the past 6 years, has signed a senior academy contract with Rugby Championship Club Leeds Carnegie.

The contract is a tri-partite agreement with Leeds Metropolitan University where Will is studying for his Masters Degree in Sports Coaching. Apart from giving Will the opportunity to play rugby at a higher level, Leeds Carnegie are effectively sponsoring Will through his Masters Degree.

Will is a Sandbach lad and has played at the club for 17 years since he was 7. Will remains a 'Dual Registered' player and will still be able to come back and play at Bradwall Road on occasions if his Carnegie fixtures permit.

Club Coach Simon Verbickas commented, "I am personally delighted for Cargs. It's great to see Sandbach lads moving up. Quality, ambitious players will always get our support to help them achieve their true potential."
