Sudden Passing Away of Terry Edwards

It is with great sadness that we have to report on the death of a long-term supporter, with the sudden passing away of Terry Edwards a couple of weeks ago. Terry first started coming down to the club in the mid 80’s with his mates Eddie Thomas and Dave Westrup and others from the Old Hall Sportsman’s Dinner Group. He was also there watching one his boys in the Colts team, with Rob progressing to play in the 1st XV in the 90’s.

Even when the boys stopped playing Terry continued to support the club and though his trips more recently on the away team bus have been limited, he was regularly seen at nearly all home games, where he would frequent the corner bar with his fellow senior Alickadoos. Terry famously toured with the boys in 2014 on the infamous “Road to Rouen” trip, where his humorous poem to the group was greatly appreciated, when each of the party had to stand up to do their party piece at the tours afternoon dinner.

The funeral service has been arranged at Crewe Crematorium at 10.45 am on Monday 8th April with the celebration of his life afterwards at the club. The club would like to thank Terry for his support over the years and send condolences to the family at this difficult time.

RIP Terry
