We have some exciting new players who have been impressive in training and the pre season games, and good luck to those moving on.

Players new to senior squad - The following guys you have seen in the pre-season games and they have all been very impressive and we give them all a massive Sandbach welcome.

Joe Gammage – Outside Centre from Crewe and Nantwich, has played for Cheshire and is well known to many of the current Sandbach players having been part of the successful Sandbach School Daily Mail Vase winning Under 18 team at Twickenham in 2010.

Ben Stelmaszek – Inside Centre also from Crewe and Nantwich, who has previously played at Sale FC and the Wales Premier Division RGC 1404 whilst studying at University in Bangor.

Josh Brown – Middlewich based hooker from Winnington Park who was part of the Cheshire U20’s team and winners of the Jason Leonard 2017 National U20’S competition along with Sandbach’s John Whittaker and Harm Dokter.

Nick Brown – Older brother of Josh also from Winnington Park who is a solid prop forward and works locally at Leighton Hospital.

Josh Longson is back from Uni in Leeds and has re-signed, welcome back Josh.

Last years colts Monty Weatherby and Josh Brookes who had already signed last season are joined by James Finucane and Kieran Stubbs in the senior squad. Registration awaited for some of our other senior colts from last season who have been training/playing with the senior squad - news to be released when paperwork completed.

Players who have left - and we wish them all good luck and invite back for a beer anytime at Sandbach.

Jack Leech - top try scorer for last 20 years or so it seems, signed for Chester in National 2.
John Whittaker - top lad and exciting prop, signed for Caldy in National 1.
Dan Percival - great member of last year's squad signed for Morley, he is at Uni in Leeds
Richard Murray - Sandbach player since he was in nappies - signed for Newbold on Avon where he is living - new boys in our league so we will see Doctor Muzzer back at Sandbach this season.
