A somewhat ‘mixed’ squad is building nicely for Sunday’s ‘Christmas Cup’ at the Rugby Club. We have players who last played 30 years ago (and 1 who has never played) to those who make the odd appearance for the 3rd XV if the weather is ok. We have a 19 year old and we have a 67 year old. We are, however, still recruiting...........
All players are welcome even if you fancy 5 minutes on the wing to claim “I carried on playing rugby until I was....”

We will provide your playing shirt. Please bring your own shorts and socks (black shorts preferable).
After the game, there will be some presentations and the chance to chat about what could have been over a couple of pints.

At 11.30 (ish) on Sunday morning 2 teams (Thommo’s Titans and Woody’s Warriors) will take to the first team pitch to take part in what promises to be one of the finest displays of athletic prowess ever seen upon the hallowed turf. If you qualify as a W.A.G. - a W.O.A.T. - or even a S.O.W., you can take advantage of this offer. For just a tenner, you can book your place in our executive viewing box where you will receive a glass or two of Prosecco and a few canapés. Those who may be concerned that a game of rugby can last a long time can rest assured that further supplies can be purchased and delivered to your table.
