After the disappointment of last week’s performance, Sandbach welcome Lichfield to Bradwall Road, looking to return to their earlier pre-Christmas form. Historically at home Sandbach have always just had the edge on the visitors, though on each occasion, there has been plenty of tries for both teams. Lichfield no doubt will be keen to break this record. Traditionally Lichfield have a lively back division, with the Massey brothers’ key players in it, so Sandbach will need to keep them quiet, if they are to maintain their home primacy. Sandbach took a few knocks last week with Tom Namgauds breaking his wrist and Jimmy Gore injuring his shoulder, meaning they are missing this weekend. Fortunately, Jack Seddon and James Preston both return this week, so readymade replacements are available. The forecast fresh breeze and drizzle may make for tricky conditions but usually it has always been an open entertaining game and both teams will be keen for the points.
