Sandbach return to action, following a free international weekend last Saturday, with the visit of Sheffield. Just two points separate the two sides in the congested middle ground of the Midlands Premier League, and Sandbach will be hoping that home advantage will be enough, to ensure they leap frog above their opponents. When the teams met two years ago, honours were even, with both teams winning their home games, but Sandbach were certainly hampered in the fixture away at Abbeydale, when they played most of the game with fourteen men. Both teams are pretty much at strength, with Sandbach’s Andy Nash coming in at flanker following injury and Benny Elliot returning after successfully captaining the Cheshire Harvester’s, against their Lancashire counterparts last Friday. The weather is set fair, so no excuses for there not being top entertainment again at Bradwall Road.
