Saturday sees Sandbach travel to Shropshire again, for another difficult fixture, against the in form Bridgnorth. The original fixture fell victim to the weather, just before Christmas, when snow covered the Edgar Davies Ground. Earlier in the season Sandbach hung on for a narrow 29 v 26 victory at Bradwall Road, when penalties and yellow cards where again an issue for the boys in green and red. Since that result both sides performances have improved and Sandbach will be keen to get back to winning ways, following their narrow defeat last time out at high flying Newport. Bridgnorth is not the easiest venue to get a win though, where a heavy pitch on the Seven flood plain and changing facilities some distance from the ground, do make it a place that can throw sides out of their normal match day routine. Sandbach will need to be fully focused and will be looking to avenge a defeat there last year, where a failure to take their chances in dismal conditions, saw them go down 16 v 8. Conditions should be better this time but expect another hard-fought close encounter.
