Sandbach travel to Stockport on Saturday, still looking to get their season going but will be encouraged by some positive elements in last weeks game against unbeaten Macclesfield and a few faces returning. Never easy against Stockport though, who based on last year have a strong scrummage and a good driving lineout game. So Sandbach will be wary of conceding penalties and look to move the ball around as much as possible, to try and tire their big boys out. The weather forecast is not helpful in this regard though, with drizzle forecast, so they will be hoping that stays off for most of the afternoon.
No matches at home this weekend but still plenty of rugby to view there. The giants of the game go head-to-head with a place in the Rugby World Cup Final over the weekend, with Argentina v New Zealand on Friday 8.00 pm kick off, then after the match against Stockport on Saturday, it’s the big one England v South Africa, which everybody will be watching, also 8.00 pm start. All members and non-members are very welcome at Bradwall Road this weekend, to make use of the Friday Night drinks offers and watch the games on the big screens.
