It’s another big day for rugby in Sandbach on Saturday, as we put out a whopping four teams. The first team are back in league action with a home game against Kendal, where they will be keen to get their season kick started after a tricky start to the campaign. Hopefully a few more of the injured and absent players will be available this weekend, to add a little bit more experience to a team that is still settling down after a few departures and retirements after last season. Still plenty of time though to sort things out and no better time than this weekend. No easy task though as the visitors have strengthened their squad and made a decent start to the season and currently lie fourth in the fledgling league. So they will fancy their chances of having a successful long trip down to south Cheshire.
Meanwhile the Saxons too will be looking to get their season up and going when they make the short trip to Lymm, while the Stormers will be looking to back up their narrow win last weekend when they pop down the road to play neighbours Crewe & Nantwich 2’s. Elsewhere, the highlight is the return to action for the 4th XV, who travel an even shorter distance to Holmes Chapel for their first social game of the campaign.
