Leigh 14 - Sandbach 7 Sat 14 February 2004 Sandbach 3rds were beaten (or was it beaten up?) at Leigh on Saturday. The team braved an unrelenting physical assault both up front and in the backs but maintained their defence and tackled relentlessly. Sandbach onlyreally had 2 scoring opportunities, one in the first half when Stu Butters knocked on over the line, and from a tapped penallty in the second half which saw Stu Pickles crash over in the corner. Stu Butters converted. One to forget really!
