Sandbach 79 - Linley 3rd 7 Sat 28 April 2001 In a very high scoring game, Sandbach proved to be too strong for this Linley side. The pace of the game was shown from the start, as Linley kicked off and Sandbach attempted to field the ball but only succeeded in knocking it on. Even though it was Linley's put in, they were pushed off the ball, and Sandbach went through to score. Sandbach then proceeded to score two more tries in the next ten minutes. After that tries came fast and furious, many being created by Richard Hill and Geof Chan. Not all of the try scorers were recorded but it is know that Winger Rob Dixon got four tries, Geof Chan two, as did Richard Hill. Mark Bedford and Nick Brown also crossed the Linley line to score.
