For the 2015/16 season, Sale Sharks Community Trust has designed a new Development Day, specifically focusing on the breakdown for players at U13s – U16s.

The intensive one day course for players will provide the opportunity for participants to develop their skills around the breakdown looking at decision making, ball presentation/retention and making and preventing turnovers. Players in attendance will receive advice from Sale Sharks Community coaches to help facilitate game development, and will gain knowledge on self-assessment and feedback on their own game.

This is an opportunity for players of all positions to fine tune their rugby skills and work with a range of professional coaches, including Sale Sharks academy coaches, County DPP coaches and RFU qualified coach developers.

The coaches will be in attendance for the day providing advice not only on the skills to be successful on the field but also tactical game understanding through adaptive challenges and games.

Each Sale Sharks Development Day will incorporate:

· Player self-assessment (goals & development areas)

· Warm up & skill development

· Games for understanding

· Position specific skills

· Game play

· Coach assessment feedback
