Sandbach RUFC are happy to announce that they will once again be part of the #returntorugby scheme following a successful trial period at the end of last season. In the 2015/16 the scheme helped the club to take part in a number of games, including a Friday night festival at Winnington Park and saw us host Willenhall in a tour game. These successes have encouraged us to push on for the rest of the season.

#returntorugby is aimed at getting former players back into the game, whether you haven't played the game since school, have had a year out or perhaps have never picked up a rugby ball in your life the scheme is designed to get you back into the game. #returntorugby is focused more on the social spectrum of the game, so whether you fancy frequent games with the 3XV or one game a month with the 4XV we are here to help you get back into the game.

There is no charge for returners, so there's nothing stopping you coming down and joining in!

Linked to the #returntorugby is the return of the 4XV! The 4XV has left the merit league structure and instead will be playing a fixture on a month, usually on a Friday Evening although a trip away with the 1XV is planned for the season at some point. With Friday evening games we are hoping that those who struggle for time of a weekend can manage to play on a Friday and rediscover a love for rugby. It also gives you a great opportunity to play but also support the other sides in the club on a Saturday.

Sept 30 - Crewe & Nantwich R2R Festival
October 28th - Wythenshawe (H)- coincides with the club Halloween party
November 11th - Sandbach R2R Festival
Sunday December 18 - Christmas Cup (vs mini and junior coaches & parents) (H)
