BACKGROUND
The clubhouse and bar are currently open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. BAR trade, however, is very quiet and the midweek business is not enough to pay the wages of the staff involved.

The midweek bar generally makes a financial loss. The vast majority of midweek sales is in Non-alcoholic refreshments. Sales of draft beer are particularly costly since we often need to pull 4 or more pints to clear beer that has been standing in the pipes since the weekend.

The size of the weekly loss is not significant (currently less than £70/per week) and the committee are prepared to keep the bar open if that is the wish of the membership.

THE OPTIONS
Basically our choices are:

- Keep the bar open with no changes
- Shut the bar and install vending machines
- Don't know or have no opinion on this.
