We have a solution for the main car park which may cause some disruption over next few weeks.

Update 15th - except for the area where the scrapings taken from our car park have been piled up (near the 1st team pitch), all the car park has been scraped and the M6 plainings laid. These piles of scrapings removed from our car park were to be moved behind the gym to provide foundations for what will be a car park. However we have been let down by those who indicated they would move them this week. This means the roller planned for today to finish the car park has been cancelled and will be re planned when these scrapings are moved. So the top looks a little messy and is loose so bear with us we will try and complete asap.

You will notice in the car park around 300 tons of the M6 have now been delivered foc by the Smart Motorway contractor. Again the contractors who will strip the existing surface and then lay the new top were busy last Saturday so we are hoping to arrange shortly.

As you know the car park surface problem has resulted in many complaints and finally a complaint to the council’s environmental health department so I could not ignore it any longer. Verbal estimates to black top the main car park have been between £30-40k which we obviously cannot afford. To make a long story short, from this complaint I was put onto the Smart Motorway contractor and after a few discussions they have now agreed to supply us foc with sufficient topping to surface the main car park. This M6 topping will hopefully be delivered mid week so we need to move fast to strip the surface of our main car park to enable this new surface to be added. This car park stripping will be done this Saturday and Stubby will work his magic to get the guys to hopefully complete before people arrive for the game. Ramps will be left at the entrance and on the exit to the concrete so the car park can be used when stripped on Saturday and throughout the week but take care face over these ramps.
