As part of our role as a community club we have agreed with the school and the council for parents to use our car parks during the daily school runs

Parking on Offley Road continues to be a concern for the safety of children, many of who are related to our club members, and with more houses on the way this may get worse. You may be aware there was a serious accident last week on polling day involving a car and two adults which required the air ambulance to attend.

As a rugby club with strong links to our community we have agreed for the school to use our car parks until the end of the current term as a trial to assess if this provides a solution. Parents will, for both morning and afternoon school runs use our car parks to park/drop off, school staff will guide children and parents to the footpath from our ground directly to the school.

We, the school and the council will assess at the end of term the impact of the trial and make decisions if to proceed and any improvements needed.

Please support this trial if you take children to the school by car, and I would hope all members will support our decision to offer this help to the school and the children there.
