This years AGM will be at the club and is open to all club members, It is important you attend.

Notice is hereby given to hold the AGM for Sandbach RUFC as detailed below:

AGM and Election of Officers for 2017/18

The AGM will take place on Monday 15th May 2017, 7pm, in the clubhouse. All members are requested to attend.

The agenda will be:

1 Chairman’s address – Summary of the overall season
2 Club Captains address- Summary of Seniors playing season
3 Mini Junior Chairman’s address – Summary of the Mini / Junior section
4 Club accountants report – latest management accounts ( full report at the FGM )

5 AGM proposals

1. The following is the General Committee’s list of suggested officers for 2017/18 (see appendix 1). This is made up of two lists, General committee and other officers of the club. Alternative nominations or Proposals (in accordance with Rule 8) must be notified to the secretary (secretary@sandbachrufc.co.uk) or placed on the Alternative nominations List posted on the club Notice board before the 8th May 2017.

To remind members that there are many other club positions which are appointed by the General committee, please inform the secretary of any nominations. (See appendix 2)

2. Complete a resolution to transfer the assets and undertakings of Sandbach Rugby Football
Club to Sandbach Rugby Football Club Limited.

3. Create the bar as a separate limited company - Memorandum & articles to operate as a non-profit making organisation with any surplus funds donated to club. (this will be regardless of the club’s incorporation)

4. Amend the club rules to enable the main committee members to, as and when agreed it is the most effective way, to vote on a proposal via email if they cannot attend the specific committee meeting.

5. Increase Full Membership subscription (inc CASC) by £12 - £1 per month from £120pa to £132pa Direct Debit £11per month (Membership £82pa/£6.84pm CASC donation £50pa/£4.16pm)

6. Increase Non Playing Membership subscription (inc CASC) by £12 - £1 per month from £108pa to £120pa Direct Debit £10 per month (£70pa/£5.84 CASC donation £50pa/£2.50pm)

7. Increase Senior Membership subscription (inc CASC) by £12 - £1pm from £60pa to £72pa Direct Debit £6 per month Membership £42pa /£3.50pm CASC donation £30pa/£2.50

8. Life Membership - No increase

9. Increase Junior Membership subscriptions – see below (no change to CASC amount, increase just in membership)

Junior Increase proposals

1. An increase in membership for all MJ members of £15 per year in conjunction with an age group donation to replace 15% levy
2. An increase in membership for Minis of £10 per year and juniors of £15 a year in conjunction with an age group donation to replace 15% levy
3. An overall increase of £18 per MJ member with no age group levy
4. Age group donation in conjunction with option 1 or 2, to be £200 per year to replace 15% sponsors levy, but keep 15% levy on fundraisers
5. Age group donation in conjunction with option 1 or 2, to be £300 per year to replace 15% levy on sponsorship and fundraisers

6 A.O.B. – Any business must be notified in advance to the secretary on nor before the 8th May 2017.
7 Close of AGM (the committee meeting will follow this with attendance from the newly constituted General Committee)

These officers will be given notice of all Committee meetings and can request via the secretary attendance at any meeting giving notice of any additional agenda item or may requested by the General Committee to attend to discuss relevant.

Appendix 2

Other club roles will be created by the General committee as they see fit, these will be non-committee roles, and the officers appointed must be club members but need not be full members.
